Areas of Expertise:
Aileen has worked for the New York City Department of Education, Los Angeles Unified School District, private preschools and private sensory clinics in both New York City and Los Angeles, as well as American expat families while residing abroad in Berlin, Germany.
Additionally, Aileen has experience in providing aquatic based occupational therapy treatment and virtual occupational therapy for homeschooled students in California. Aileen has over a decade of extensive experience working with preschool and school aged children on the Autism spectrum, children with sensory processing challenges, and children with varying degrees of differences in their development. She received formal training in Handwriting Without Tears, Retained Reflex Testing/Integration exercises, Social Thinking, Ready Body Learning Minds, Vision Disorders and Interactive Metronome.
My passion:
“Aileen has been to many parts of the world; she’s seen and felt diverse cultures all centered around the family unit. She believes every family and child have differences to celebrate and strengths to build on. After more than 12 years of working with children and their families, she still finds her work incredibly rewarding and loads of fun.”
Fun Fact:
“In her free time, Aileen loves to travel and eat great food. She has visited over 43 countries and counting!”
